Baptisms

Baptism (sometimes called Christening) is a wonderful occasion - a time to celebrate God's love and begin a journey of faith.

We welcome baptisms for babies, children, and adults. Baptisms usually take place during one of our Sunday services, so your child is welcomed into the whole church family.

What's Involved?

  • An initial meeting with our clergy
  • Preparation sessions
  • The baptism service itself
  • Ongoing welcome in the church family

There is no fee for baptism - it's a gift from God and his Church.

Enquire About Baptism

Who Can Be Baptised?

Anyone can be baptised. For babies and young children, at least one parent or guardian should be willing to bring them up in the Christian faith.

Godparents

For children, we ask you to choose godparents - usually at least two, one of whom should be the same sex as the child. Godparents should themselves be baptised.

Adult Baptism

If you're an adult seeking baptism, we'd love to walk with you on this journey. Rev Ben or Rev Matt will meet with you to explore what baptism means.
